Paul Mortimer started his career with Farnborough Town before joining First Division side Charlton Athletic. In 1990 he moved to Aston Villa before joining Crystal Palace. He went to have a successful career in coaching, both in the mens’ and womens’ game. He’s now an ambassador for Show Racism the Red Card.
In the first episode of the Footballers’ Wines Hotline, Paul opens up about getting frozen out of the Villa team by big Ron, almost being killed in a helicopter crash whilst coaching the Sierra Leone national team and how womens’ football needs to change.
